Lent - 40 Days of Preparation
The holy season of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday and prepares us to celebrate the great feast of Easter.
Lent Services and Events

Ash Wednesday
Mass will be celebrated at 9:30am and 7:30pm and will include the imposition of ashes.
​
Stations of the Cross (Fridays of Lent at 7pm)
The Stations of the Cross is a devotion which involves pausing 14 times as we walk the way of The Cross and reflecting on the events of Jesus' Passion and Death.
​
The Stations of the Cross will commence on Friday 8th March.
​
Lent Study Group (Mondays of Lent at 12noon)
Starting on Monday 18th March. A soup lunch followed by a time of study.
The theme this year, will be the 'I am' sayings of Jesus, 'I am the Bread of Life' etc.
Holy Week
Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday and continues through this most holy of weeks in the Church's liturgical year which culminates with the great feast of Easter.

The Sacred Triduum
The three days that begin with the liturgy on the evening of Maundy Thursday and ends with Evensong on Easter Sunday. It recalls the Passion, Death, Burial
and Resurrection of Jesus as portrayed in the Gospels.

7.30pm Mass of the Lord’s Supper & Watch before the Sacrament until Midnight

Good Friday
10am Stations of the Cross, Children's Craft Activities and Hot Cross Buns
2pm The Liturgy of the Day
7pm The Maria Desolata

Holy Saturday
8.30pm Easter Vigil & First Mass of Easter, followed by refreshments.

Easter Sunday
8am Mass
10am Sung Mass
6.30pm Evensong & Benediction
